After learning to sail at the age of 12, Alan (aka Fish) has been involved in watersports training for over 12 years and is a keen yachtsman, powerboat enthusiast and Zapcat racer.

Julie Elworthy – TBT Principal

Julie has been sailing for 14 years in UK waters and abroad. Starting her yachting life in the Solent, she now enjoys the advantages of the Bristol Channel as a great cruising ground for training.

James Withers (Jim) - TBT Chief Instructor

James has been involved with watersports in one way or another since he was 12 and at the age of 16 started to get involved with teaching sailing. James has worked with various centres in the South West and joined Tiger Bay Training during the summer of 2002 allowing him to continue to build on the enjoyment and experience of boating.

Tony has 30 years experience in power and sailing vessels. Starting off on dinghies, he progressed to bigger boats and has enjoyed offshore sailing throughout the world, including ocean racing and instructing.
